A Little History
In 2004, Avalon Waterways set out to change the concept of river cruising. At that
time, river cruising was known for older ships, limited space and land excursions
were an afterthoughts. But with the launch of our very first ship, our inspired
design innovations became the industry's new standard. We introduced travelers to
things like panoramic views; large, inviting spaces; comfortable staterooms and
dining options that catered to more than just taste. On land, we designed award-wining
shore excursions to help transform each stop into an experience, not just a destination.
Today, thanks to ongoing feedback and encouragement from travelers just like you,
we're proud to unveil our newest ship – the Avalon PanoramaSM
Suite ShipSM. With the introduction of this new ship, as
well as countless service and amenity enhancements fleet-wide, Avalon is determined
to continue to exceed your expectations. So like the very rivers we travel, Avalon
Waterways is continually moving forward, making improvements and embracing the world
beyond. And it's this approach – our drive to continue to exceed traveler expectations
